Hot Bite, Calm Seas.

Hot Bite, Calm Seas.

After the rough weather keep up close to the reef fishing for snapper we finally got a beautiful day to hit the deeper water. Three days ago the bite was tough for us, but we worked hard to get our charter a good dinner of yellowtail snapper, they also fought a few big Goliath Grouper. We had some guys on the boat today that love feeling the bite for themselves so we stuck to fishing the bottom only. The guys pulled in 16 Muttons, 6 Vermilion Snapper (my favorite fish to eat) and 2 Black Grouper over 20 pounds that we had to release due to the Grouper season being closed. Like almost every day recently we have seen Sailfish feeding on the reef while we try to catch bait. It is a great time of year to devote some time running and gunning for the beautiful sportfish
