Strong Winds

We experienced some intense winds today when we got to the dock and after taking a bit of a beating yesterday offshore the guys decided to stay in the Harbor and get some more Tarpon action. We did something kind of unique today to spice things up. As our second Tarpon of the trip pulled us towards the Gulf of Mexico we came very close to a shallow piece of water called a "flat". Deciding to get a little wild I had my first mate jump off the bow of the boat and take the rod with him. The charter who was fighting the fish followed him into the knee high water and regained the rod. As they walked around the flat and little mangrove island we got a pretty incredible point of view of the action. After getting the fish to within 10 feet of them and after about an hour and half fight she rolled the hook out of the corner of her mouth and swam off. Too bad she didn't know we were gonna do the same thing only after getting some pictures. Anyways, we got back to our anchor and started all over again, it took a few tries but we finished the day off with our third Tarpon over 125 pounds. Like I talked about yesterday the guys on our boat for the last three trips have been filming for their fishing and hunting show based out of New York. I can't say enough about the guys from H and H OUTDOORS and am incredibly excited and anxious to see all of their footage in its final form. Obviously I will let you all know when that is
