I stated on the edge of the reef in about 20ft of water. we put about 20 - 12 to14in yellow tails in the live well and waited for the ballyhoo. they were there but didn't get close enough to throw the net. so we went out to 200ft of water and did some slow drifts over some deep rock piles. we landed 5 big amber jacks up to 40lbs. then i trolled south till i got to 800ft then turned around. we got 8 to 10 small mahi mahi. i was expecting a little more for this time of year. it wasn't bad i found a board and a small piece of netting floating. both had schoolie dolphin around it. after trolling for a few hours we went back to drifting live bait over deep ship wrecks and released 4 more big jacks
