Dolphin, Sharks, Muttons, and a Sawfish

Dolphin, Sharks, Muttons, and a Sawfish

We ran two trips today. The first was a 6 hour where we stayed on the move and worked offshore looking for dolphin. We worked South till we got to about 750 feet of water. There wasn't much going on there and we decided to work in a little shallower. In about 550 feet on some sea weed we got a double header. The first fish in the boat was a 25 pound Cow Dolphin and the second in the pair was a 35 pound Bull Dolphin.

The second trip was a group of guys that were down for whatever we could throw at them. It was an 8 hour trip and the action literally never stopped. We caught about 20 sharks, the biggest being a 65 pound Black Tip. We also caught three nice Mutton Snappers and an Amberjack. On our last wreck we hooked something bigger than normal, much much bigger. After a tough fight we got her up and saw that it was a 15 foot, 500 pound, Sawfish. These fish are super rare and definitely a catch of a lifetime. I wish we could have gotten some better shots of the fish but its hard to get something that big to cooperate. Im gonna get with the guys and find a picture that does this fish at least a little justice and post it on the featured catch to your right, so stay posted
