From Dusk TIll Dawn

From Dusk TIll Dawn

Once again we ran two trips today. The morning was an eight hour trip and we started off pitching crabs to Permit, no better way to start my day! We had three guys on the boat and each got their first Permit. We also landed another monster Mutton drifting the wrecks, pretty neat. Afterwards we set up on a wreck in 180 and after only landing one Mutton in 20 minutes we made a run to the East. There we set up in about 140 and started to pick away at the fish. Muttons, Amberjacks, and even a flag Yellowtail on the bottom came to the boat. Time was running up and on the way in we pitched our last three crabs to Permit and hooked them all up.

The next trip was a short Tarpon trip out in the harbor. After getting to our spot and chunking dead bait we started to freeline our baits back. The second one got eaten but we missed the fish when he quickly spit the hook. The third bait back was also eaten but we didn't miss him. The fish was an easy 100 pounds and we fought her to at least 45 minutes. With the tide turning we called it a night and headed in
