In shore and off shore

In shore and off shore

The last 2 full days days fishing has been great !!! Thursday I fished the edge of the reef in about 110ft of water. There we caught over 40 yellow tails up to 2 lbs, 2 big mutton snapper, 1 10lb black grouper, 5 or so big cero mackerel and released a few small sharks. We did hook one big shark but after 45min it cut the line. We also released a small cobia and 3 more small black grouper. Friday I pushed out to the blue water to fish for dolphin (mahi). It was a slow start but once I got out to 500ft I found some birds and scattered grass. It was non stop action!!! We put 22 nice schoolie dolphin (mahi) in the boat. The fish were 5 to 10lb average. Nearly all the fish were caught on live ballyhoo using light spinning rods. After we got a cooler full of mahi I came back in shore to try some wreck fishing for some big snapper. It was a little slow. the current was under the boat. We did catch a nice 30lb king fish and our biggest dolphin of the day. They both took a live ballyhoo on the surface
