Playing Catch Up.

Playing Catch Up.

I haven't much time recently to update the site so I'm going to do a little re cap on the past few trips. Recently we have been doing some diving and spearfishing. The water visibility which plays the most important role has been spotty. Some days it is great and others it is quite poor, but that is to be expected this time of year. On the days we have gotten out we shot some nice Hogfish, Mutton Snappers, Yellowjacks, and a lot of large Mangrove Snapper which we have seen huge numbers of as they are ready to spawn. We have also noticed a lot of Lobsters starting to stack up on some rocks we have marked, the season will be opening here pretty fast in the end of July. The Yellowtail bite has been good and we have caught a lot of them each trip we have tried to. The current plays a large role in the bite and when you have the right speed the bite is awesome. Tonight we ran a Tarpon trip. We had a ton of bites and the fish are still here. We finished the trip by releasing an 80 pounder after we got the leader touch.
