Tarpon

Tarpon

With the wild weather today we stayed in the harbor and caught some big Tarpon. The wind was about 25 knots and there were storm cells pushing through with heavy rain and gust to 40 knots. This didn't slow the bite down much though. Our first or second drift back we hooked a fish that was all of 130 pounds. After we fought the fish for over 90 minutes and had the leader release the fish broke off right at the boat. Our next fish was about 90 pounds and we got the official catch on her early. We fought her up to the boat over the next 45 minutes and the fish was released. We hooked a third fish that jumped the line shortly after we hooked. Our 4th and last fish was another big one, probably about 125 pounds. This fish pulled us all over the place and with the winds it made it tough. After about hour and 15 minutes we had her boat side and got a release.
