evening bite

evening bite

Yesterday we fished a full day. I started out trolling west in 120 to 200ft. After about 2 hours we only had a few bonitos and a big cero mackerel. I dropped anchor in 125ft on the edge of the reef to try for something different. Right away we started catching fish. We caught 3 mutton snapper up to 12 lbs, a big margate, king fish and released 4 grouper. A black, 2 big reds and a nice scamp grouper. All would have been keepers but grouper are closed right now. When the bottom bite slowed we pulled anchor and got back on the troll. The evening bite was non stop!! We couldn't get the lines out fast enough. At one time we had 5 black fin tuna on at once. In less than an hour we put 7 tuna ,6 bonitos and 3 skip jacks in the boat
