Kingfish, Amberjack, and Snapper

Kingfish, Amberjack, and Snapper

Today we decided to work with some fresh dead ballyhoo we saved from the day before. We set up in about 225 feet of water and sent baits to the bottom. Things started off slow, only putting a yellow eyed snapper in the boat, but man did things pick up. A log floated by holding two small Mahi Mahi, one of which we hooked and put in the cooler. Next we started drifting dead bait back into the current and hooked up with 3 nice Kingfish, a 30 pound Amberjack, and a Barracuda. The bottom started to pick up a little, later in the day. Our charter landed Mutton Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, and another nice Amberjack
