summer time cobia

summer time cobia

Yesterday we did a full day of bottom fishing. My first stop was on the reef in about 60ft of water. There we sent out a chum slick out and put about 15 nice yellow tail snapper in the cooler. I also threw the net on some fresh ballyhoo. After fishing the reef for an hour or 2 we pushed out to a deep wreck in 190ft. Using live ballyhoo on the bottom we caught a 30lb cobia, 3 monster porgy's and a 12lb margate. On the way home I made a quick stop inside the reef and caught a few lobster to add to the cooler.
